Envelop

It only takes 4 steps for your digital design to make it into your personal shop, ready to be sold as a real quality textile item. These guidelines will lead you straight to a succesful quickstart.

1. Customize

Combine our freely downloadable templates with your artwork to create some superfresh designer textiles. 

Because Envelop is all about getting off-road textile design into the private and the public space, we really want you to push the envelope: design any image you want by using any technique you want.

It's a great opportunity to let your vision on (textile) design 'go live', and infiltrate in people's home and life.

 

Before you start designing, keep in mind following topics:

1. Be sure you exclusively own the intellectual rights to the image.  

2. Content-wise there are some restrictions: although most of them seem pretty obvious, some aren't. Please check them out in our submission rules .

3. We are unreasonably strict concerning technical requirements: things like resolution and formats are critical parameters to generate usable print-ready files.

2. Register

Now you've designed your very own textile items, it's time to get them into the store to be sold.

Therefore we need you to create an account, which technically enables you to upload your designs. Also, this will allow you to check your earnings, and us to pay them. Moreover, members obtain a personal url (typically www.envelop.eu/shopname) that directly leads to the designer's own shop on Envelop. Needles to say this is a strong tool to promote your graphic abilities.

 

Creating an Envelop account is totally free. We only ask you to show us an easily accessible online representation of your work, as a proof of ambition, dedication and - in a certain way - skills.

3. Upload

Great! You're registered as an Envelop member. Now start adding new designs using the upload form of your account.

Besides the print-ready image and one or more preview images, you will be asked to complete a title and description of your design, and to add some keywords (tags), in order to find your design using the search engine of the site. You'll also be able to organize your designs, using different collections.  

 

After a design is approved by the Envelop Crew - which will be the case if all submission instructions were followed correctly - it appears in the shop.

4. Sell

And once your design appears in the shop, it's ready to get sold - and to 'go live'.

For every item you sell, you earn a 12,5% royalty rate on the retail price. Easily check your balance status in your account, where you can ask Envelop for a payout!
